I have been in food service since birth. My grandfather owned a family grocery store/ice cream parlor which I couldn't wait to work in when we visited. My first real job was in food service in 1976 while living in Aiken, SC. I went to work at Quincy's while in college at the Citadel in 1983. After graduation I moved to Spartanburg with Spartan Foods to hold a wide variety of positions including a trainer (opening 68 stores in 9 states), general manager, district leader, and concept development. In the last 5 years while residing in Spartanburg I was a partner in 3 local downtown restaurants. After moving to Spartanburg in 1984, I met the best thing that ever happened to me, my wife, Myra. We have two wonderful daughters, Bailey and Carley. My interests are centered on my family and raising the girls. |
