Changes at Wade's

To our valued guests:

As we approach our 75th anniversary in business, our family restaurant continues to strive for excellence amid unprecedented challenges. While the challenges are many, locating team members to operate a restaurant that serves over 2000 guests a day, while making the majority of items from scratch in our kitchen, is the biggest challenge right now.

The next time you dine with us, you will notice some operational changes that we are making in response to today’s climate.

  • Meals will include one piece of bread instead of 2.  Extra bread will be available at an additional cost of 55cents a piece.  This is not a cost-saving issue, this is a labor issue. Our rolls are made by hand (no mixer) and hand-cut. We also produce cornbread muffins that are scratch-made each day.
  • We will be closed Saturdays in an attempt to adequately staff the restaurant on the days we are open.
  • Menu changes will be more frequent.  We are experiencing severe shortages of many items from our suppliers. This day-to-day situation requires us to alter our menu more than we would like – sometimes on very short notice.

Please trust that our primary goal is to continue offering the delicious southern cooking and superior service that we’ve been providing Spartanburg since 1947. Our mission is to delight guests so that they can’t wait to come back…and this will not change!

One thing for sure is that our team members care and are working tirelessly under some very challenging circumstances. We are very grateful that we have such an amazing team!

We thank you for your patronage and understanding as we work through these unprecedented times.

Wade's is offering dine-in and ToGo service!

We will continue to monitor the situation and will make decisions accordingly. We do recommend and request that all guests practice social distancing as much as possible when inside the restaurant. Here are some things to know before you decide to dine-in:

  • Orange “dots" are located on the floors to control social distancing
  • Reduced amount of tables to allow for social distancing between parties
  • Team members will be frequently disinfecting commonly touched surfaces
  • ALL guests must be present before we can seat parties at a table

Precautionary steps that we are taking within our ToGo area are moving our customer pickup area to the large dining room that was previously used for Express, continued sanitation practices on all contact surfaces, and much more. There are a few ways to order plates ToGo:

  1. Place your order online here
  2. Grab your order from the racks in ToGo & go!

***During times of high order demand in-store and online, online ordering may become unavailable.***

  1. Call 864.582.3800 to place your order
  2. Once you arrive at the restaurant, sign in on our ipad kiosk in ToGo
  3. Once your order is ready, we will call your name so stay close by!

Our Express lunch buffet is permanently closed in order to accommodate a larger ToGo area.
